I am interested in purchasing a recurve bow for hunting and target shooting. I like the feel of them more than compounds, so please don’t tell me to get a compound 
My price range would be up to about $150, and both polymer and hardwood bows would be an option. (Don’t worry, I’ll become an accurate and precise shooter before I take it out into the woods 
) Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
$150 is not a lot of money to get a good recurve bow. But I think you could find a good condition used bow at that price. Look at anything by Bear or PSE Archery.
I like the Bear Grizzly – but it costs in the $300 range at retail new.

The Samick Deer Master.
I purchased it from a local archery store with a 45lb draw weight and absolutely love it. With proper arrows it fires true every time (its especially good if you’re more of an "instinct" shooter rather than lining up sights). It’s fairly cheap, I can’t remember the exact cost, but I believe somewhere are $200.
I tried a bunch of bows before it and love it.
And good job on choosing recurve over compound.
