    Very interesting …
    Very interesting modification. I’ve shot arrows out of my slingshot before, but with little accuracy if any. I’ll have to try this one out. I’m not going deer hunting with it, but if the modification works….. the rabbits around my place are in trouble lol!
    Good hunting!

    Whoa. I’ve been …
    Whoa. I’ve been trying to shoot arrows from my slingshot for ages. The keyring modification seems to make a big difference. But I have my doubts about it penetrating a deer’s hide. A twenty pound pull bow has at least as good penetration through hay, and it’s not legal because it can’t kill the deer quickly or efficiently enough. Maybe if you filmed yourself actually hunting and killing a deer with the slingshot bow, more people would believe yoou.

    You’re getting …
    You’re getting 12inches of penetration in hay, would this really piece the hide of a deer and really hurt it. My bet is if it did penetrate that the dear would run away and your game and arrow are gone.

    @DieTheDeath Using a slingshot to hunt big game in a survival situation. Pretty obvious. You really are too dumb to understand aren’t you. Or are you one of those sad little people who pick fights on the internet because they are ignored and irrelevant in real life?

    @sanpilou The …
    @sanpilou The target area is roughly 1.5 x 1.5 inches. If you watch my videos, you can see me shooting aspirins from 50 yards with an airgun. If it were legal, I could easily take a deer with that gun from 50 yards. 25 FPE.

    “Sneak up” You don’t stalk to those distances. You wait for them to come to you.

    “attacking” I didn’t attack you. I pointed out that your attack on me was based not on what I said, but what you assume I said. Your defensiveness is case closed.

    @USSBN734 You’re …
    @USSBN734 You’re commenting on a video of a slingshot firing arrows. Also, how big is the temple? Ok in controlled situations I can see it happening but really, it’s a very improbable shot. What you want in survival is more than a very slim chance. Oh and if you can sneak up on a deer to be at 25 yards, you’re very lucky.

    Oh by the way, good job on calling me immature and an ass. Completely undeserved. You show great maturity by attacking me directly without being provoked. Bravo.

    @sanpilou And yes, …
    @sanpilou And yes, I have tested this, on a freshly killed deer, with a non-FAC PCP airgun from 25 yards. It was 10 FPE at the muzzle, and 5 FPE at the target. It passed through the skull and both hemispheres of the brain to ricochet off the far side of the skull. If the animal had been alive, it would have been an instantly fatal shot.

    Again, read what people write. You make an of yourself when you jump all over what you assume they mean, instead of what they said.

    @sanpilou “Have you …
    @sanpilou “Have you ever fired a bow?” For the last 30 years or so.

    “with a slingshot” Nope. Never needed to. Could if I had to.

    “5 pounds won’t even propel your arrow” Who said arrow? Demonstrate a little reading comprehension and maturity, and address what I said, not what you assume I meant.

    A pellet gun shooting 5 FPE in .177 will drop a deer in its tracks IF you hit directly the temple. Ideally where the temporal and sphenoid bones come together.

    @USSBN734 Seriously …
    @USSBN734 Seriously? Have you ever fired a bow? Or killed a deer with a slingshot? 5 pounds won’t even propel your arrow more than a couple of feets, let alone 2 pounds. I’ve been doing archery since I’m 10 and went on many hunts. Even with a pretty powerful bow, if you’re aim isn’t dead on you’ll never kill a deer.

    @sanpilou To kill a …
    @sanpilou To kill a deer reliably, you need at least 45 pounds. In a survival situation, the rules change. You kill what you can kill, however you can kill it with the least risk to yourself.

    5 foot pounds is MORE than enough to kill a deer with proper placement. 2 pounds will do it if you hit the temporal bone with a small diameter projectile or point.

    To kill a deer, you need a bow that is at least 45lbs… I highly doubt a slingshot is that strong. Very smart idea though. I’m sure it would be perfect for birds and rabbits.
