I am interested in purchasing a recurve bow for hunting and target shooting. I like the feel of them more than compounds, so please don’t tell me to get a compound
My price range would be up to about $150, and both polymer and hardwood bows would be an option. (Don’t worry, I’ll become an accurate and precise shooter before I take it out into the woods
) Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
$150 is not a lot of money to get a good recurve bow. But I think you could find a good condition used bow at that price. Look at anything by Bear or PSE Archery.
I like the Bear Grizzly – but it costs in the $300 range at retail new.
i have a wilkinet sling and would like to take my 3 week old outdoors in it. All guidance i can find says do not overdress etc, but just what is the right level of clothes? bearing in mind this is february.
i dont have a coat big enough to go round us both.
I had read and been told by several that new babies need one more layer than what you would wear. If you can go with shirt and coat then do another layer for them.
In the next month or so, I will be hog-hunting and I want to know what some good hog hunting tips would be.
If you’re looking for meat, don’t be tempted to "shoot the big one". It will mean nothing but tough meat that will only be good for sausage. I find that often times I come up on hogs in a group, and will be able to choose between them. picking a pig out that’s "mid-size" will save a lot of heartache when the butcher is asking how you’d like the meat prepared (assuming you’re taking it to a butcher after cleaning it).
Also remember that they are nearly blind but have excellent smell. Keeping tabs on the wind would be a good choice.
I can’t catch any fish, but the only time I have is once and it was a 1 lb carp which took 3 minutes of float fishing.
Well simulators are supposed to be realistic, and fishing is a game of patience. So it might take awhile to catch something.
